- Abstract
An ancient grotto has been seriously weathered in Beishan,Dazu county.Sichuan province.This paper studies and discusses the hydrologic-geochemical reaction and weathered rock mass due to subsidence of acid rainwater and groundwater permeation.The researchingresults show that a main factor caused to destroy the shallow surface layer of rock is swelling of the sulphate crystal.
