- Abstract
In this paper, a simpler and direct coupling method, i.e. finite element method coupled with singular solution of infinite plane with a hole, is proposed for the analysis of underground engineering. The numerical example shows that the elastic effectiveness of the infinite plane outside the artificial boundary upon the inside region is exactly expressed.
