- Abstract
Landslides caused substantial damage to property,which is seriously hampering social development.With the use of geographic information systems(Arcview),a risk assessment system is established in the paper.The failure probability of 3D-slope is calculated using the Monte Carlo method.The risk of life and economic losses were also calculated by the risk assessment system.By a case study,the results of the risk of life and economic losses may be crucial foundations for administrant branch.
